Steven R. Uretsky, DMD

Welcome to my Practice. My Name is Dr. Uretsky.

I enjoy the challenges of all aspects of periodontal therapy and place a primary focus on spending time with each patient to meet your individual needs. My goal for you is to restore comfort, aesthetics, and health. I often state “you will not realize your gum problems until I can show you how healthy your mouth can feel.”

Working with dentist throughout the region, I offer advanced techniques in treating infectious periodontal disease as well as providing aesthetic periodontal procedures to restore your smile and confidence.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California where I received my undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California in Psychology with an emphasis on development and geriatrics. I integrated this background during the 1980s in working with the developmentally challenged in Los Angeles and later as a dentist with the Children's Aid Society of New York.

I pursued a degree in dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and in 1982 moved to New York City with my wife as she completed her degree where I worked as a general dentist for two years.

I continued my education with a dynamic 2 year residency at The New York University School of Dentistry and was awarded a certificate to specialize in periodontics in 1986

After graduation, my wife, Susan, and I returned to her hometown of Pittsburgh where we had three children and I opened a private practice in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood. Besides involvement in numerous national and local professional organizations my wife and I are involved in animal rescue in the Pittsburgh area.

I look forward to meeting you.
